Macy’s

Macy’s is the largest department store in the world. The flagship of the chain is located in Herald Square, New York. Macy’s is well known for its Thanksgiving Day Parade which has been held annually since 1924. Founded in 1858 by Rowland Hussey Macy, the company went public in 1922 opening a branch of stores around Long Island and New York. The department stores sell a variety of products including, clothing, footwear, bedding, beauty, and housewares. Macy’s is part of the Cincinnati based Federated Department Stores and has 7 divisions in 45 states.
